Arctic fjordcruise by car and boat to Sommarøy in a small group

This tour is conducted by Laukvik Senja. We start the trip by car from Tromsø and drive to beautiful Sommarøy. We will stop along the way to take pictures and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Join us on a memorable Arctic safari to experience the wonderful nature within easy range of Tromsø. This exclusive excursion features fjordtour by car/bus, a RIB safari in a spectacular archipelago and hot lunch.

We start this unique excursion by car from Tromsø and drive to beautiful Sommarøy, making stops along the way to take pictures, enjoy the beautiful scenery and try to spot animals and birds. Enjoy spectacular views of the open sea, the steep mountains on Norway's second largest island Senja and Håja, the latter which inspired the shape of the Arctic Cathedral.

Sommarøy is a vibrant fishing community with sandy beaches and stunning views of the open sea. This is the starting point for one of the highlights of the trip – a one-hour trip by rigid inflatable boat (RIB) in the Sommarøy archipelago on the outer coast of Kvaløya.

After the boat trip we serve warm expedition lunch (Drytech). Vegetarian options are available.

This is a perfect family-friendly day trip for those wishing to photograph and experience the unique Arctic light and wildlife from different perspectives. We will navigate slowly and calmly while taking pictures of beautiful scenery. There is a large population of white-tailed sea eagles and excellent opportunities to experience the species close-up. Get your camera ready to capture a spectacular photo of this giant bird.

Please note: If the boat trip must be cancelled due to extreme weather or wind conditions, the tour will be completed as a arctic safari by car and each participant will receive a refund of NOK 240.

The tour price includes transport, one-hour RIB trip, English-speaking guide, hot lunch, hot drinks, warm flotation suit, balaclava, goggles and mittens.
Please bring:
warm clothes to wear under the flotation suit and warm footwear.
