Husky Trekking

  • Straumsvegen 601, Kvaløya
  •  /  km From You

This tour is conducted by Tromsø Villmarkssenter. Do you love dogs and beautiful nature? Combine both on a easy hike with four-legged friends and one of our experienced guides.

Hiking is more than just walking. It is a great way to clear your mind and put the world in perspective. In the scenic Arctic wilderness surrounding Tromsø Villmarkssenter, you can enjoy untouched nature, live in the moment, and recharge your mental batteries.
The guide and some of our engergetic huskies will accompany you in the journey. Usually, we bring one dog per three to four participants to share. The dogs are highly energetic so you will be glad to share the load with others. Be prepared for some exercise and plenty of cuddles!

When we return, we will give you a guided tour of the dog yard. Here you can learn more about the care and history of Alaskan Huskies, and how we live our life centered around the canids. The visit to the puppy pen is guarnatueed to include plenty of puppy kisses and cuteness!
The terrain we travel through is predominantly heath and moor, so bring waterproof shoes if you have them. If you need to, you can rent shoes and/or rain clothes for a low fee
