This tour is conducted by Arctic Expedition. Are you ready to hunt the northern lights with us?
There are many legends about the northern lights and why it dances so beautiful over the night sky in the north. Today we know why, science has given us the explanation and can even help us predict when it will be showing. But still, there is something magical about seeing the northern lights on the sky, the colors and movement, and of course, as we in the north know to be true, the sound. The best way to experience the magical northern lights, aurora borealis is away from the lights of the city. There is no faster way leaving the city center, than by boat.
Cruise out from Tromsø city center in the evening, with beautiful views of the city, mountains, fjord and the Northern Lights (aurora borealis) with Arctic Expedition. The different locations we visit on this cruise provide different views of the sky with several possibilities of seeing the Northern Lights. We cruise in a high-class comfortable and very stable boat with space inside and outside.
Meet up by the boat in Tromsø City center, where we will check ahead where the best weather conditions are, to see the northern lights. Dress warm, you are in the arctic ocean, experiencing a winter night!
We can use one of our 3 boats: MS Aurora Explorer (max. 145 pers.), MS Leone (max 12 pers), MV Strønstad (max 30 pers). The number of pre-ordered places determines which boat will be used. Possibility of Jacuzzi and Sauna: The boat used is determined by the number of people booked in the day itself.
