Randsfjorden

Randsfjorden is Norway's fourth-biggest lake and the second-largest in the county of Oppland. In the north, the rivers Dokka and Etna flow into Randsfjorden. The Dokka river delta is a protected wetland area for waders and migrating birds.

Randsfjorden has rich stocks of big trout and you can catch fish of more than 10 kilos. The largest of the big trout, the so-called Dokka trout, is found in Randsfjorden. The trout spawn in the Dokka river.

Fishing rules:
- Trollling is permitted with up to 4 lures per boat with free presentation.
- Minimum trout size is 35 cm, from the front of the mouth to the tip of the tail.
- Fishing all year round with exceptions listed below.
- Røykenvik is a nature reserve and in the periods 15 April – 19 May and 1 August – 31 October any person using a motor boat must take the shortest route in and out of the area.

Note! Fishing is not permitted within 200 metres from the mouth of the river/stream where the trout spawn between 1 September and 30 April.

These restrictions also apply in the following areas:
- In a straight line between Ånes and Røen outside the area where the rivers Dokka and Etna flow into Randsfjorden and all the way to the end of the lake.

- From the Lomdaselva river to a straight line between Kleivodden and Leirbakkvika.

- From the Bjoneelva river to a straight line between Søndre Kirkeby (old stone jetty) and the promontory outside Bjoneberget.

- From the Gullerudelva river to a straight line between Karte and Odden.

- From the Vigga river to a straight line between Skreitangen and Bjørndalen.
