Three days Arctic Camp with kayaking

We offer a unique and personalized trip! Experience a spectacular Arctic Archipelago from our campsite on the island of Rebbenesøya, north of Tromsø, located at a landscape conservation area with several nature reserves.

The camp has 2 yurts, each with 4 beds, is without road traffic and electricity, and we fetch water from a small stream nearby. The boathouse at the Camp has a bio toilet. This is the place to experience calmness, silence, a lot of weather, and the seasons different colors and uniqueness. From mid-May to mid-July, the golden rays of the midnight sun will shine throughout the night.

You and your traveling company will stay in your own yurt, paddle in magnificent scenery, enjoy local food and get close to an Arctic wildlife and coastal life. We paddle in crystal clear waters around islets, sheaves and along beautiful islands. It is common to see eagles, otters, seals and various seabirds at the same trip.

We will pick you up in Tromsø city, or nearby by agreement. The journey to the camp is an adventure itself, with a 90-minute scenic drive, a 10-minute ferry ride to Rebbenesøya and then a 15-minute walk to the camp. We are planning a kayak trip each day, directly from the camp, included a full day trip where we make lunch around a campfire. Perhaps we eat self-caught fish or freshly caught shells. We prepare and eat all the meals together either in a yurt or around a campfire.

Alternatively to a kayak trip, or at bad weather, we can explore the Island by car and/or take a hike where you can enjoy a spectacular panorama from one of the island's beautiful mountains.

Included: guiding, accommodation, all necessary kayak equipment, single kayaks, transportation, dinner, breakfast, lunch, tea/coffee, local sweet snacks. Alcohol is not included.
We provide spikes and snowshoes and thermal suits.

Please bring: Warm waterproof clothes, at least 2 layers of clothes (for example woolen underwear and fleece) to wear under the dry suit, changing clothes, warm mittens and warm hat, waterproof warm boots.
Please pack your things in a backpack.

The 4 beds in each yurt are placed as 2 double beds in the form of a bunk bed. The camp also has a boathouse with a bio toilet.
The trip is adapted to both experienced or inexperienced/beginners. Please specify your grade of experience upon booking. We also need to know your hight and weight ensure that we have the appropriate equipment for you.
